Chosen Solution
One of the more interesting repairs we have came across. Can anyone help: iPhone 6s Plus- only issue is no service. However it lets us search for signal it’s just not strong. On opening of device we got a strange smell (burning) 4 parts of device are melted/show burn marks: On small bracket that sits under camera shield On Wifi Antenna Beside Taptic Engine In corner of Loudspeaker. the board itself shows no signs of burning. How on earth has this happened? Note: 3rd Party LCD fitted previously (not ourselves). Everything else original
Probably electrocuted. The voltage between the case and external is high therefore high current and burned, but between the case and board there aren’t enough voltage difference between them so didn’t fry that bad.
