Chosen Solution

Ok so I’m having this really weird thing going on with my iPhone 6s. I recently changed iPhone shells from one back to another. After I did that, the phone worked perfectly except for one problem. There was no service. So I decided to switch back to my old casing to see if the new one was the problem. But is still didn’t work. The weird thing is that when there is no sim card in the phone, it still says no service. My guess is that this a hardware issue with one of the antennas but I am not sure. Let me know if you guys have any fix’s for this problem and what and where the antenna is that I should check on. Thanks!

iPhone 6s are not prone to no service issue as their predecessor. Since the issue started after case swap chances are that something got damaged in the process or the phone board was a bit forced out of the case and got flexed and damaged. First thing to check here is by dialing *#06# on the numeric keypad, that should give your IMEI number in return. If you get nothing you have a logic board issue and needs diagnostics and microsoldering skills. If you get the Imei the issue is probably related to radio antennas and would need you to check all and everything with a visual inspection, better with some kind of magnification and a good light source.

had a similar issue and this was the solution: try a network reset a couple of times, if this don’t work try a full restore.
