I had some battery issues on my iphone 6, so I opened it and unplugged the screen screen/top connectors from the motherboard and also unplugged the battery, re-plugged everything, hoping that this would fix it. After restarting my phone I noticed the top right side of the phone got hot very quickly, only when using the phone. When it is locked/stand-by the phone cools down. I bought an used iphone 6 with a broken screen and used its battery for my own iphone 6, and the phone still got hot. I also tried to connect my moms iphone 6 screen to see if it’s my screen causing the heating. Even with my moms screen the phone still got hot on the top right side. I put the screen back on my moms phone and her phone didn’t have any issues. I’m thinking it’s my motherboard causing the heating up. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? Please help. David

You have ruled out the screen (including front camera and sensor) and battery. You could have an issue with the rear camera so you could try to disconnect it to see if that solves the heat problem. Otherwise, you probably have a logic board issue and this would require a micro-soldering repair.
