Hey y’all! Been awhile. A friends iPhone accidentally got wet on a trip and as I had not the tools to open it and manually clean it I decided to dunk the entire thing in 91% isopropyl alcohol for a minute or two. The touch wasn’t working and the screen had vertical lines of slightly darker pixels. Those issues where fixed after dunking. However, the backlight is now extremely dim and very difficult to see anything. But everything else seems to be fine. Its not worth spending much money on because if I could fix it I’d sell it for her anyway as it’s old and she can borrow a secondary phone I have. I’ll have access to my tools by Sunday to do proper maintenance. Suggestions? Thanks. @refectio @theimedic @tomchai

Dunking the whole phone tend to ruin any plastic/glue part. Now you have to replace the cameras, backlight plates and most of the adhered parts.
