Hi there, newbe here and i have an iphone 6 plus that keep restart every 3 minutes when the screen is on, also the iphone cpu getting very hot. The iphone will not restart if the screen off. And also i did connect it to power supply and the battery percentage jumping around such as from 90% to 49% to 55% and etc, and the iphone will restart. I also did replace tigris and tristar but no luck, I thought the problem at gas gauge line so, i did jumper from G1 AAP_TO_TIGRIS_SWI (U1401) to C1417 vcc main with 2 resistor 2.2k, one resistor on pp vcc main line and the other one on pp vcc main ground, The problem still exist. From this moment i do not know what to do. Story of this iphone is, i bought this iphone for me to practice repair and the iphone was touch diseasses i did jumper to m1 and it fixed now but the problem is the iphone keep restart every view minutes when the screen is on, not happening if the screen is off. Sorry for my bad grammar, and Thank you for Help me to solve this problem.

Why did you put a pull-up and a pull-down resistor on the SWI line? All you did was create a voltage divider and force the SWI line at 50% of VCC_MAIN. Take a step back and consider what you have done. I presume the phone worked fine before the Touch Disease repair (minus the touch issue of course). Therefore, you need to double-check your work in that area. It’s not uncommon to cause solder bridges underneath Meson. Check the voltage rails supplying Meson and Cumulus to see if there are any shorts, partial shorts, dislodged components etc. You could always pull it and check the condition of the pads. Nor is it uncommon to float some components on the flip side of the board…the ones next to the connectors and underneath underfill. When too much heat is applied, they can get sucked up by the softer underfill and loose contact with the board.

i’m having the same problem too. were you able to fix this?

I am having a similar problem is there no way to fix it without opening the phone
