Purchased an iPhone 6 off of someone who attempted to repair the screen. After replacing the screen, the phone would not power on. When I recieved the phone, I plugged it in and noticed that it began to get very hot. After opening up the device, I noticed the phone got extremely hot on the logic board between the display connectors and the SIM card slot. What could be the issue?

I can provide more info / photos if needed. Thanks!

Overheating points to a short to ground. In between the connectors and Sim car reader you have all and everything, from power IC to processor, Ram, graphics..it could be really anything. It’s a hardware issue that can’t be fixed without skills and tools and being an iPhone 6 would probably not even be worth the cost of a repair a Pro would charge.
