The iPhone 6 will deny access to the network before it is extremely close to the router. It drops out very fast and the signal is very poor.
I’m thinking this is an iOS thing. Why don’t you try resetting your network settings, or force restarting your phone Settings>General>reset>reset network settings How to Force Restart an iPhone 5
