Hello everybody! So I have this issue with my iPhone 6. It doesn’t recognise the charger when plugged in, but suddenly turns on with 1% battery only. During these few minutes it is on, it still doesn’t recognise the charger nor it charges. So it basically dies again to charge to 1%. This goes on and on. Do you maybe have the same experience? It is out of warranty therefore “bring to Apple” answer do not help :/ Thank you!

Sounds like a fried U2 IC. Charging to 1% and no further is one of the symptoms. Try a new battery. If that doesn’t work, then it’s probably a board-level issue. I don’t think it’s the charging port because the phone will charge to 1%.

It could be a bad battery or charge port. Have you tried replacing these? Also try multiple cords, if the cord is bad it may only charge intermittently.
