Chosen Solution

Hello. I recently bought an iPhone 5s from a friend, it had a cracked screen and I had another 5s I received that is a parts phone. I replaced the screen using the ifixit tutorial and the device has been working just fine. Except for the touch ID scanner and I read that restoring the iPhone would possibly make it work. So I loaded up the latest version of iTunes, plugged the iPhone into my USB port using a genuine Apple charger and went to restore it. Now it is stuck in recovery, and when I go to restore it, I get an error 9 code after iTunes finishes “Extracting Software”. I have nothing on this phone that I care about, I don’t mind losing any info. I just want it to work. I don’t even care if Touch ID works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Download the firmware manually from http://www.iclarified.com/750/where-to-d…. Put the iPhone in DFU mode Then use 3uTools to restore the firmware. http://www.3u.com/
