Hello, So I have fixed a few phones in the past. From iphone 3- 5s. The phone was dropped in drive and we ran over it. Could not turn it on. So I sat it on the bench for a month and was gonna use it for parts. But I felt brave and decided to do a refurbish. what a mistake. Bought a new Back Housing, New OEM battery, New Front OEM screen, New OEM charge dock connector, New screws. Everything else looked good so I kept the rest. Put it all together. And I am careful with screws. It wont turn on by itself, I plug it into iTunes and it recognises it in DFU mode. Download the latest update, - latest update gets to the end. Then the phone disconnects and reconnects, Then the phone blue screens and error 9’s, Reading forums. I tried without the camera connected, no good, With out the screen connected , no good. Tried Reiboot that every one talks about, no good doesn’t even see it connected. Yes I tried new cables and different computers with antivirus and firewalls turned off. I am using windows 10 on both computers. The impact may have pushed the screws into the board which is not evident to the naked eye but the strongest possible conclusion. Any other reason I get so far updating and then it crashes? it only powers by cable not by new battery. I’m guessing the board is stuffed. But any suggestions are welcome. I don’t have another 5s to test parts with unfortunately.

Error 9 is a security software setting error
