So we lost my wife’s 5C to water damage and decide to use our insurance to get a replacement. Too our surprise the replacement was an upgrade… well sorta. We got a 5S in place of her 5C, but the headset speaker pops and it is next to impossible to make calls with. Seems that when she uses it on “speaker” the mic cuts in and out, but the speaker seems to work. Instead of taking my chances with another dud from the insurance co, I want to just fox this one. Just not sure that replacing the speaker will fix the problem entirely. Thoughts? Repair or send back for another? Thanks

Well, it’s definitely refurbished phone. I don’t know why you wouldn’t send it back. If you really think you’ll make things better, as opposed to worse. Here’s a guide iPhone 5s Earpiece Speaker Replacement Here’s parts iPhone 5s/SE (1st Gen) Earpiece Speaker
