My iphone one day suddenly turned off. At start when I tried to charge it then phone turned on, showed apple logo and then turned off and then these steps just repeated (turn on>show apple logo>turn off>repeat). I tried to connect it to itunes but it was not being detected. Only when you connect it to wall outlet it turned on and did previous steps. So I searched on internet and found DFU mode so I did that. Now my phone is completely turned off, no matter I insert charger or not. It just stay turned off and blank. When I connect it with itunes, itunes says “found iphone in restore mode” (although phone is dead and blank) so I click on restore and as soon as it says “preparing to install” after extracting, it gives me an “error 2005” and stops….. I don’t know what I do? Any help guys??!

Either battery is gone or a bad U2 Tristar charging IC. When you plug it in and shows apple logo does the apple logo go off immediately after unplugging the cable? If it does not then the battery is fine and it is probably the charging IC. Worst case scenario is that it may be the memory chip on the board needing to be reballed / reprogrammed / replaced. At that point I wouldn’t consider it worth fixing. Find someone that does micro soldering on iPhones and replaces charging ICs.
