Chosen Solution
Hello, Apologies if this has already been asked else where but I’m having some issues with my iPhone 5c. I recently replaced the screen and upper component cable. Upon switching the phone back on I have found that everything works except for the microphone when I’m calling people. I can hear them but they cannot hear me. Siri works fine. Is it possible that the front facing camera / light sensor cable has been damaged during the repair? On another note, when my sim is inserted it says ‘searching’ where the signal / carrier name usually appears but the phone sends texts and makes calls fine. Also connects to wifi / 4G so I’m thinking this is possible a software issue? The iOS is probably due an upgrade / restore as the phone was switched off for a while. Has anyone else experienced these issues? If, so could anyone advise on a fix? Many thanks L
Stuck on searching top left is solved by setting date and time. Make sure you have it to set automatically under settings, general, date/time, set automatically on. If time never stays on when phone turn off and on with above steps done then the crystiallizer oscillator on the logic board is faulty. For the microphone issue does it not work on speaker phone mode and normal call mode? If it’s just normal call mode not working then maybe the bottom microphone on the charger port is at fault so you may need to replace the charger port assembly.
