Chosen Solution

Seems like I’m having multiple issues with my apple devices today haha! I have this annoying problem with my iphone 5… When the battery is drained I put it in the charger and the charging battery shows up, but when the Iphone reaches 4% and turns on by it self it stops charging. I have to take the charger in and out multiple times for it to start charging again (this doesn’t always work, it’s more like a 1/100 chance). The only “problem” that I could think of that I have from before is that my screen is cracked…or shattered, somewhere in between, and I’m missing a piece of glass on the white, thick line at the bottom on the left side of the home button. I don’t know if this could have contributed to the problem, but I choose to inform about it anyway hahah Do anyone have any solution to the problem or is it more or less dead at this point? hahah. It has lasted me about 4 years soon so it’s getting pretty old.

Have you always used Apple cables and power blocks to charge your phone? If you use third party cables your U2 IC chip will slowly start to fail after a set amount of time. Cheapest case scenario would be to order a dock and see if that works, and you may also want to try a new battery just in case. If neither of those fix your issue, a $99 U2 IC logic board repair from Jessa may be cost effective for you. Hope this helps!
