Hello! So I got a question about the iPhone 5 rear case. I haven’t found the answer for this question on any site. On the original there are these white fields on the inside of the housing. The white areas(stickers, kind of) are located underneach the speaker/dock flex, under the rear camera connection, and under the WiFi-flex metal holder. So the questions are: Q1) What are those stickers/white areas for? Q2) Can I continue to use iPhone 5 rear case without those areas? Q3) What are the consequences of not having those areas inside the rear case? Really appreciate your answers! This upper rear case is like the original with the white areas, while the golden one is an aftermarket without the white areas.

Q1/ I don’t know. Q2/ All the ones I replaced so far did not have the white areas but worked just as fine. Q3/ None, I believe. But that’s just my experience. Note that you will have to transfer the pin that hinges the back of the power button, You will also have to transfer the tiny metal cylinders on the back of the power button and volume up/down button. I cut the frame and buttons with pliers to be able to remove those parts. There is an extremely high probability that you will loose them and render your buttons worthless. So work in a large neat area where it will be easy to find those tiny things when they fly away. Finally, you’ll have to transfer the headphones jack and the lightning jack rims by pushing them in using a plastic tool or a pencil.
