Hey guys, So I want to do a mobile iPhone 5 battery replacement, but I don’t want to disconnect the screen. My question is: If I replace the battery of an iPhone 5 without disconnecting the screen will it later cause any problems? Is it safe to do when I keep it in that 90° position?
You can do it without removing the screen, and it won’t cause any problems, a long as you can keep it supported at 90 degrees. If it overextended or twists to the side it could be damaged. The 5 has a very short flex cable on the LCD. Personally, I remove the screen, as it makes it much easier to get a good angle to remove the battery and don’t have to worry about damaging the screen. Is there a reason you don’t want to remove it first?
