Chosen Solution
I have replaced my own screen a few times and have done it successfully but this time it doesn’t work. The phone itself does turn on but nothing shows up on the screen. Symptoms:
- The phone started making the text message sound constantly when powered on
- After that it stopped and I held the home button and it still says “Siri not available”
- When plugged into iTunes it is recognized
- Nothing shows up I already tried a hard reset, I don’t know what is wrong
your choices are: 1.) Mis-seated LCD–>re-seat LCD 2.) Bad LCD–>install known good LCD, or test bad LCD in another phone 3.) Blown backlight filter–>send out for backlight repair
