Hi, Ive just purchased a charger doctor so I could see what my iphone battery’s are like. I’ve plugged one end into my laptop and the other end into an iphone 4 and it shows 4.99 v and 0.07A What does this mean? Is the battery rubbish? Many Thanks Sarah

You are seeing the voltage (4.99v) and the current draw of your iPhone (0.07mA). In its self it’s not telling you much, as the state of the battery will impact how much power is needed to charge the battery. So if the battery is charged then it wouldn’t have much draw which is the case here. This tool is more useful in checking the USB ports ability to supply power and if the device is pulling to much. It’s not the type of tool I would use to test my phones battery. Here is a better tool: Battery Life which you can run from your iPhone or iPad.

Using a wall charger is more reliable for power input. On computer you can check battery health via 3utools on windows or coconutbattery for Mac.
