Up until about 6 weeks ago, my iPhone 4 would last about 10 hours. Then all of a sudden the iPhone 4 battery was only lasting about 2 hours on a full charge. Replaced the battery, (Thank you, ifixit.com!). Now the battery lasts about 4 hours, have shut down all unneeded services and programs. Still no joy. Ideas…?
I have the exact same pattern and results. iPhone had good battery life, then one day last week, would not last much more than a few hours. Installed new Battery last night (thanks iFixit.com). I let the battery fully charge over night. Removed from charge at 7am and by 12pm it was down to 5% with minimal use. Closed all applications this morning before heading out so I’m confident that only a hand full of apps have been running. What is the next thing to check or that would be causing the battery to run down so quick?
I have also ran into the same issue. I’ve also noticed an audible click from my iPhone from time to time. It sounds like the click when a hard drive is going bad (though I know there is no hard drive in the iphone). This click always happens of the phone is dead and I hit the button to turn the screen on.
