I replaced an iPad Air 2 display assembly and after putting everything into place I have been charging the iPad for about 1 hour and the percentage has not moved at all. I restored the device and the percentage went from 16% to 1%. I disconnected the cable and the iPad was doing bootloops so I thought it was the battery that was defective since the iPad was working fine when charged. I ordered a battery and replaced it. Now the iPad is at 16% and been plugged for more than 1 hour and percentage still has not moved. I suspect this could be the gas gauge but I don’t know how I could have broke it since I replaced the screen with the highest precaution. Does anyone know where the gas gauge is located ? And if you have a picture showing it so I can look up if it is still there. Also since the iPad has been dropped before replacing the screen, is it possible that the impact could have been enough to break the gas gauge and that I have noticed it only after replacing the screen ? Thank you. Mise à jour (18/01/2017) I took a picture of the area on the iPad Air 2 motherboard, can anyone tell me if there is anything wrong with the component on the motherboard ? Also where should the gas gauge be located ? Thanks http://hpics.li/798ec41

Look for missing components around the connector area. If the ferrite bead is dislodged or missing, it can cause this kind of erratic behaviour on the battery readout.
