Hi there, As I open my Dell L321X laptop, I connect it to the Wifi, it becomes as an intermittent connectivity and it turns off and I should turn it on again. other device at home’s wifi will turn off also. Besides my laptop doesn’t detect the battery and it says”No battery is detected” and as i pull of the charger cable, the laptop turns off. Update (08/18/2020) Thanks a lot for your responses, but as I updated my drivers and by letting the laptop to be on the table near the WiFi router, the condition got even worse. and the troubleshooter didn’t work either. I am going to run through your instructions with the application that you told and see if that works. I have cleaned the fan, but I still get the load noise of working fan while running Windows. Thanks a lot and your assistance will be truly appreciated. :)

Update (08/22/2020) Yeah it is 2004 version! I had no problem before I had Win7 untill I get it repaired in the shop… Do you recommend that I keep this laptop or I change it with a new Dell XPS one? As the picture indicates it seems it is still a fabulous laptop! TNX. :)
Hi, If the laptop doesn’t start without the charger connected and the OS shows “no battery is detected” and also turns off when the charger is disconnected, then the first thing to check is the battery and the battery connections to the motherboard. Here’s the owner manual for the laptop. Go to p.,17 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the battery. Once you have access to the battery check its’ condition to see that it is OK and not swollen etc. If you have a DMM (digital multimeter) use it to test the battery voltage when the battery is disconnected from the motherboard. If the battery tests faulty it may have to be replaced. Regarding the WiFi, does the WiFi stay connected if the laptop is placed right next to the home WiFi router? If so it may be an antenna problem in the laptop. Go to p.24 in the manual to view the procedure to remove the wireless mini card (WLAN card). This will allow you to check the antenna cable’ connection to the card to make sure that they’re both OK. Update (08/18/2020) @Mohsen Arzani Have you checked that the WLAN drivers are up to date? Right click on the Windows Start button on the left side of the Taskbar > Device Manager. When in Device Manager scroll down to Network Adapters and click on the > symbol to expand the list. Find and right click on the WLAN adapter entry and select Update Drivers and follow the prompts. You need to be online for this to work. If the drivers are up to date download, install and run this WiFi sniffer program It will tell you the signal strength of your home Wii network as it is received by the laptop. It will also tell you what other networks are in range and their signal strength. Be aware that the signal strength is in negative dBm (-dBm) so the higher the number the weaker the signal actually is. If there are other networks in range that share the same WiFi channel number and also have a reasonably strong signal, this could interfere with your signal. Try changing the WiFi channel in the home WiFi router to a less used channel i.e. one that doesn’t show in the sniffer program or has the least number of other networks using it. Try to avoid using CH1, 6 or 11 as most WiFi routers default to these channels, so everyone is normally on one of them. Look at the user manual for the router for how to do this. If the WiFi still has problems try running the Windows troubleshooter and see what it shows. If you have Win10 go to Start > Settings > Update and Security > Troubleshoot > Additional Troubleshooters > Internet Connections > Run Troubleshooter. If the fan is loud it maybe running at high speed trying to cool down the CPU. The manual I linked shows how to remove the fan and heatsink. This will allow you to refresh the thermal paste on the CPU. There are YouTube videos that show how to refresh the thermal paste. The paste dries out after about 5 years or so and this means that the heat generated by the CPU can’t escape as quickly so the CPU heats up. There is a thermal sensor in the CPU which detects this and the fan it turned on full trying to get rid of the heat quicker to protect the CPU.
