have a intermediate miss trk runs fine for awhile 40 0r 50 miles I can stop get back in start it runs fine then it starts missing engine light will come on briefly then runs fine took it to mech ran diagnostic showed a bad distributor sensor replaced distrib. still doin it ohmed wires they all seemed fine checked plugs all ok any suggestions would be appreciated
@rjw69 not all misses are created by your electrical system the miss your describing sounds more like a fuel miss. when an engine gets hot the injector can swell and not send the fuel into the cylinder creating a miss because there was no fuel to ignite. you may want to check the fuel pressure on the rail and check that all the injectors are firing properly.Hope this helps
