I would start by booting from the old drive first and see if your issues persist. Cloning is no longer used as it erases the hard drive and you loose the repair partition. Install the system then use Migration Assistant to move your data. The most common problem on this model is the hard drive/ IR cable failure. Then see if you still have issues.

Here is the screenshot of what Coconut has to say. Could something be wrong with the cabling maybe? Like I mentioned before I bought this Mac refurbished and never had a problem with the battery or wifi until after I installed the SSD. I was also careful when I removed the battery cable.
