How can I install a single SSD in the main Hard Drive slot without the fans running at full speed? It’s a Samsung 850 Evo, so no other connectors for a thernal sensor cable.
You need to use this cable: OWC In-line Digital Thermal Sensor for iMac 2011 HD or SSD Upgrade. It makes no difference who’s SSD you use they all require it. Here’s some background info: SMC issues
