Inspiron M5030 2 beeps pause 2beeps pause black screen tried fn start still does it.
Hi @detourqueen A 2 beep error code is a memory problem, so the laptop won’t pass POST (Power On Self Test) when it is started and it stops with no display. Try re-seating the memory modules i.e. remove/reinsert the modules and check if this resolves the problem. Here’s a link that describes the procedure to remove the memory modules from the laptop. If it still fails after doing this, try removing 1 memory module from the laptop, reassemble the laptop and then check if it starts OK If it starts OK the module that was removed may be faulty. If still no good, follow the procedure to remove the other memory module and insert the first one that you removed back into the laptop and check if it works OK. Basically you’re trying to find out which one of the modules may be faulty
