Hi all, I hope you can be of more help that the poorly titled ‘support team’ at Apple. They have not only provided no support…but I am now distinctly stressed at having spent the last 2 hours going around in what can only be described as ‘chrome tab circles’. So yeah…any help would be much appreciated! I recently tried updating my IPhone SE. This caused it to crash (as a likely result of not having enough storage for the update). The phone has now been stuck between the Apple logo and the notification that I need to connect to itunes and support/apple.com/iphone/restore. So I jump on my little used Mac and realise that I haven’t updated since OSX Yosemite 10.5.5. I follow the upgrade link for Mohave and have to log in with my Apple ID. I attempt to log into my Apple account and that’s where everything becomes unstuck. Every attempt to access my account is met with a request for two step verification. How am I supposed to get a code, if my phone is completely inaccessible? I’m guessing you can’t really help beyond advising that I take my phone and Mac to a repair centre, but hey, maybe I just enjoyed the chance to rant a little?! There’s certainly no chance of doing that on the Apple forums, as I need 2 step verification to make a post there!!! :-D Still, if you do happen to know of any inside hacks, or even just a legitimate email contact for Apple support, that’d be really handy. Thanks James

Well, you are very stuck! It sounds like you updated both devices before first getting one working first. So now you have no means to get validation with the two step verification. At this point you’ll need to visit an Apple Store with a photo ID and both your iPhone and MacBook Pro as only they can untangle this mess.
