I have a late 2008 or early 2009 MacBook Pro UniBody, Model A1286 which the dust shield pulled out and broke when I removed the CD Disk. My question is, when I look for the part, it’s not listed. Does it come with the Left Speaker assembly or with a replacement CD/DVD drive, or can you buy the gray rubber band looking part separately, and if so, what is the part number. Thanks in advance
Does that mean I have to buy the complete UniBody, or can I get just the part I need, if so, What is a good part number. Thanks in advance
I edited your MBP description to match Apple’s and got the right tear down and parts list. I’m not sure I know what the gray rubber band part is but see if you can spot it on the drive. The “Dust cover” is part of the case - for a unibody model, its part of the unibody enclosure.
I am looking for the same part, with out the rubber cover the dvd when ejected shoots out into the air.
