Hey there, I bought a 21.5" 2017 iMac with a blade SSD. I wanted to add a SATA 2.5" SSD to the computer (so two drives, total), and so I did, but the computer isn’t recognizing it. I have a feeling I bought SATA data/power cables that are incompatible (it didn’t come with any). Does anyone know what type of data/SATA cable I should be using?

It should be standard SATA cables, nothing special going on AFAIK.
