Having an issue after i install 2 different SSDs on one of my mid 2011 iMac using the 2nd ssd kit (sata cable and special power cable from the motherboard). Disk not Ejected Properly I’m trying to figure it out no luck yet!

You’ll need a fixed SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) HD or SSD for your system. If you review the Red note at the bottom of this: OWC Data Doubler. A SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) HD or SSD won’t work in this system reliably. The systems SATA port has a known compatibility issue. You also can’t use an auto SATA port sensing drive (one that can run in either SATA II or SATA III system) it must be a fixed SATA II drive.

The BUS on the optical drive port is not fast enough to handle it. Try putting a standard HD in that position.
