I have a an older iMac trying to reformat but can not access disk utility on start up using Command R. Ideas please?
Insert your original system installation disk as you boot the machine. Hold down the “C” key while booting. Go to the second page of the system installation when the pull down menu appears. Pull down the Utilities menu to Disk Utility. You can either attempt a repair or do your reformat and then a system installation..
Mark, Try Command-Option-R. Start up from OS X Recovery over the Internet. Good Luck!
