Hey folks, hoping someone can assist me… as the title states, my iMac will not load any way I try. Won’t load in safe, normally, or via any of The drive options I try (main hd or recovery). I’ve tried all the control commands, including single user mode (I did as a few guides suggested and still no dice) I cannot try target mode as my only other computer is a PC and not a mac. I’ve tried removing ram, I’ve reset the pram as well. I’ve found all 4 LED’s and they all light up and stay lit up. Originally my dang video card died, I bought a replacement (which was actually an upgrade to what I had. Went from the 4 series 512kb to the 6 series with 1gb) I replaced it and started the power on process and that’s when this allllllll started. I removed and reinstalled it as well. I do not have the oem cd to try in it either so I’m screwed on that idea. I also cannot get the apple diagnosis to work, nor can I get it to try booting via the internet recovery method. Basiclally I have a fancy paperweight at the moment. Any suggestions?

well…..i fixed it.. It wasn’t with parts or anything either to be 100% honest.. I spent countless hours online trying to find the issue but had no luck.. i ended up putting the old OEM GPU back in it…booting in safe mode, re-installing a fresh version of Mac OS and then i shut it all down and pulled the graphics card… Then i put the graphics card ITSELF into the oven…baked for 10 mins at 400 degrees. Let it cool down on a nice flat surface over night, and then re-installed it into my imac 27 that im currently typing this message on.. It worked….just like it worked for multiple other folks.. frigging amazing. Thanks for all the suggestions folks.. I’m still blown away that this actually worked..i figured why not give it a try…ive got nothing else to loose really.. and bingo bango baby, Back in business! lol
