Hi all, I’ve a 1 million $$$ question: Is the airport mpcie apple proprietary port? From some images found on google, the airport (at least for imac from 2012) is not a standard mpcie port but a smaller one. There are some converter? My aim (if possible) is to connect a egpu through mpcie. thanks all

I’m not sure I follow your logic here. If you want to push another screen with its own GPU you don’t need to go this route. Let’s start with the AirPort card it’s a mini PCIe interface which is a standard Broadcom BCM4331 part. No, you can’t use it for anything else as the hardware & software of the system is expecting the AirPort card for this connection. So, to gain a second GPU here you’ll need an external Thunderbolt case to hold a standard PCI graphics card. Here’s an example using a MacBook Pro: Using an Thunderbolt Video Card with a MacBook Pro using a iMac is not any different.
