My old screen has an unresponsive screen in parts, but the LCD still fully works. So I purchased an iPhone 5c LCD Screen and Digitizer / New / Part Only, as displayed on the receipt. The issue im having is, my old screen lcd still displays, but if I use the one I ordered, I get no response. Was I possibly sent a faulty screen? or did I leave something out? Thanks in advance Edit- Just some updates and things. I did not notice, but the iFixit screen when the lcd is plugged in, does emit light from the sides and the screen is a lit black instead of dead black, any idea on what else might need to be done?

If your old screen is displaying an image and your new one is not, my best guess is yes…either it arrived damaged or you accidentally damaged it during installation. The Flex cables are so fragile… I would be certain that you power off phone, disconnect battery, keep track of your screws and where each one goes (It matters) and be certain the new one is connecting evenly. If it does not work and your new one still does after testing the new one…return it for exchange, its the new screen… electronics do go bad and I have ordered hundreds of parts from reputable companies and every once in a while, you get a bad part. Best of luck!

Why are you using an iPhone 5s screen on an iPhone 5C? The screen frames are different and do not allow the home button to be seated properly or the screen installed.
