Chosen Solution
Hey guys, after my issue with the replacement screen doing a quick bluescreen and boot loop I had solved it by doing a factory restore in DFU mode and now It does turn on. Unfortunately testing the functionality of the screen assembly I have noticed some janky touch sensitivity, phantom key presses and sporadic areas of the screen not working. Also the ear speaker does not seem to work on phone calls. I am wondering if anyone has experienced these issues on a screen assembly replacement from ifixit and if the issue could be on my end or is the assembly itself/speaker/digitizer might be defective? Edit: I feel maybe I should add that the front camera and proximity sensor seem to be working fine.
It could be defective and exchanged. My guess however, if you got the blue screen, which is something that happens when you’re tinkering with the phone too much, you’ve damaged the display assembly. They still may honor the exchange though
You couldve also damaged your logic board as well in that case you will need a new logic board. easy way to tell is to look at the connectors on the last one on the left, that is the connector for the screen and if there is any damage to the connector you will need to replace the logic board.
