Hello iFixit community, I had a great experience replacing my battery, screen, and adhesive with iFixit supplied components and manuals, however I am having trouble typing after replacement. As far as I can tell, 95% of the screen works just great, except for the very bottom left portion which contains the “123” and “emoji” buttons on the standard texting keyboard. When I try to tap on these buttons, the uppercase and “z” buttons get pressed, respectively. Has anyone had experience with this? What can I do to fix?
First I would make sure the LCD connector on the logic board is clean and the screen connector is seated properly. If you are still experiencing the problem it will most likely be a faulty screen. IFixit has a return policy here.
