I was tring to change the hard drive at ibook g3 than g4 but the didn`s see the ne hdd, hdd was alive?

Start up from your system installation disk by inserting the disk and holding down the “C” key while restarting. Go to the second page pull dow menu to Utilities -> disk utilities and format the drive, then install the system.

Check the ribbon cables and connectors. The connectors will pull off the board if handled roughly. Put the HD in an external case to check it. If this answer is acceptable please return and mark it. Good Luck, N.
