I need help!!

Yes you do. Are you sure it is turning on? This can be confirmed by hearing sounds coming out from it, having it respond to mute/vibrate, and/or iPod can be detected by iTunes and you hear it “pong” when connected to a computer. If that’s the case, try first a hard reboot: press and hold power button + home button for ~12 seconds. Then restart. If iPod restarts and you see the Apple logo, great. If not, you may have an issue with your screen assembly; it may need reseating of the screen cable or replacement entirely using this guide. If not the screen assembly, it could be a great deal of other possibilities (damage on the logic board , dock connector shorted and needing cleaning with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush OR replacing, etc.). We can’t help you more since you do not yet explain how/when/why this black-out happened in the first place, in order to try and figure out the issue.

my ipod has also gone black and i cant see anything. I know it turns on because when i turn it on i can hear a click ( the sound it usally makes when i"d turn it on. the screen is not damaged from the outside or the inside. when i hold the power + the home button for 12 secs i can see the logo but then the blackout is still there
