i tore the copper grounding tape on the screen backing plate. Will it still work?
It will work no issues having it either on or off. I’ve even had screen replacements on iPhone 5C / 5S where there were no copper grounding tape behind the front camera ribbon cable assembly (basically was removed before) and had no issues there.
