I ordered battery for 5 s. Wifes phone is 5c is it the same? This will be first repair i dont want to take apart if its not same
The 5C and 5S have the same connector. However, the 5S battery is a few mm wider and taller. I took a quick look and it “should” fit but it may be tight depending on individual characteristics of the battery. Take a look at this answer (Is the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C battery compatible for swap?) which indicates it fits “no problem”.
You know what? I think I might change my answer. I did some closer examination of the battery connectors and if the 5c’s connector would be close enough for the 5s’s battery connector to reach and it appears that what you want to do might very well work. I would at least try it and see if it works out.
