Chosen Solution

I cracked my iPhone screen 2 weeks ago, but I don’t know how. I picked it up from on top of my backpack and it was shattered. The screen worked “perfectly fine.” However, last week, my screen began to not work for periods of time. I’d wait a minute, and it would work, only for it to shut off again a few minutes later. The display worked perfectly and Siri worked, but the screen could not detect my touch. I went on a flight so I told Siri to set it to airplane mode (not a good idea). Now I can’t turn airplane mode off. I can’t tell Siri to turn my cellular off either. I’ve tried holding down the power and the home button to power it off but it won’t. I’ve plugged it up to my iTunes, but it asks my phone if I trust the device, and I can’t state that I trust the device because my screen is broken. I have a back up phone to use… I just need to turn off cellular data on this iPhone. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello, To do a force restart on an iPhone 7 and above, you need to hold the power and volume down buttons, as the home button is now a touch sensor (no more “real” button under this guy, the Taptic Engine inside your phone makes you feel it clicks but it actually doesn’t). There is no solution to toggle on the “trust computer” box though. Try to find a broken but working screen and mount it yourself, then toggle it. Otherwise, you can always try to ask a nice repairing shop to do that for you.

How about just getting the screen replaced. Edit: It would really drive me nuts trying to use a phone like that.

so how did you fix it, im having the same problem
