My WD Ultra Hard Drive with 1TB capacity is not detected on Windows but I hear a sound from the speaker and the drive light is toggling on. Even the VCD of the My Passport Unlocker isn’t showing up. What shall I do?
If the sound is a clicking, that is the drive head arm going back and forth. It means the drive has failed. As a matter of fact, most drives that start making noise of any kind have failed.
