I was watching TV earlier today and then the sound just stopped. I have tried other shows and still no luck. What can I do?

@jyater68 hook up an external speaker or soundbar and see if that helps. Always check the setup menu to ensure that your speaker is turned on. If you give us the model number we can hopefully find you more specific information.

i know it can sound stupid, but- try to unplugged you TV at first, waited about 10 /20 seconds, plugged it back in and sound can came back on - it helped me LOL ))

This process worked for me! Sorta like Win95…

The monitor output is prior to the audio amp, so if you are getting audio from that into an external rcv/amp, the you have an audio amp issue. My 50 has no headphone output so I assume yours doesn’t either. For both speakers to go out, with an amp problem it is likely the power supply. That could be a range of things on the power board from bad diodes to bad capacitors. I did replace capacitors on mine before they went totally bad so I had no symptoms. But I would lean towards diodes since it went out instantly rather than deteriorating.
