As title says hard drive problems, disc utility can’t repair. I put it in an external dock and booted from install dvd and disc utility says all is well. This drive was brand new a month ago. I ran disc repair and am now in the process of installing os 10.6. If it installs, and it looks like it will, how do I test the hard drive cable and plug? Thanks Walt
The only way to test the hdd cable is to replace it with a known good one and see if there is a difference. Even a little shock can damage a spinning drive you could try to erase the hdd and reinstall the os You can find a hdd cable on eBay
