I dropped my phone about 4 feet and, at first, my screen was just black on the bottom with some green streaks. The touch screen still worked, but nothing else. I turned it off and on to check if it was a one time thing, but when I turned it back on, the touch only worked on the left side. After leaving it for a couple hours, the entire screen is mottled with purple dots, the same half is black, and only one square of the screen actually works for touch. The glass back is broken from a different time.
Hi, It seems as though the LCD screen and possibly the digitizer (touchscreen) have to be replaced. While you’re at it you may as well do the glass lens as well. Here is a link to the Ifixit guide on how to replace the screen. Samsung Galaxy S7 Display Replacement Here is a link to just one supplier of the parts. It is not a recommendation to use them, it is just to show the cost of the part(s). There are others that may suit you better, just search online for Galaxy S7 LCD screen replacement part to get results. https://www.etradesupply.com/catalogsear… If the repair seems too daunting for you, I recommend that you contact 3 reputable, professional mobile phone repair services and ask for a quote to repair the phone.
