I did too! what do I do. I put it in a bag of rice for 2 days. Now what?
caroline, skip the rice. It does not work. Disassemble your phone, using these guides. Clean every part with a high grade (90%+) isopropyl alcohol. Then repalce the battery, re-assemble and re-evaluate. Water damage is the hardest to diagnose and the hardest to fix.
Turn it off asap. Do not try to turn it back on or plug the charger in. Remove the battery and either take it to a professional who can chemically dry it out properly for you. Or take it to bits and apply 90%+ isopropyl alcohol to all of the components then let it dry and re-assemble.
