Hi, 99% this cable or audio jack problem. New ear phones or someone have to change or shortens the cable. Regards.
Had a problem with a slightly different headset where the copper wire inside the speaker was kinked and would only work half of the time. It’s a bit more hassle but swapping the speaker out of your headset might fix it - just check for any kinked connections inside of the speaker.
