I’ve just installed a new hard drive into my I book and successfully installed Mac OS X but i cannot connect to the internet through airport can anybody help please. I have an airport card installed and tried everything.
Go under the Apple in the upper left hand corner to “about this mac”, more info -> Network -> Airport and see if anything is listed. If nothing is there the first thing to do is check its connections, if they are good then replace the card. Here’s how: iBook G3 12" Airport Replacement
If the card shows up in System Profiler it’s seated properly, you could have disconnected/damaged the antenna connection. No card listed means check the seat of the card, verify the card. Remember to return and mark as accepted the answer that best solves your problem. Good luck, N
