Chosen Solution

When I turn my laptop on it sends me to a black screen with white letters that say " Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. If windows files have been damaged or configured incorrectly, startup repair can help diagnose and fix the problem. If power was interrupted during startup, choose start Windows normally." Then it gives me two choices to either start Windows normally or launch startup repair. When I click on either it brings me to the same exact screen that says. " Windows failed to start a recent hardware change might be the cause.

  1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
  2. Choose your language settings and then click “next.” 3.Click “repair your computer” Status:0xc000000f Info: The boot selection failed because required device is inaccessible. I don’t have a repair disk do I need to buy one ? And if so where would I get one? It also gives me a choice to factory reset by pressing f3, but would that erase all the stuff I have on there ? I have a lot of sentimental things on there that I don’t want to be erased. Please help ! Thank you!

Hi @angelway , Here is a link to download a Win 7 recovery ISO. Your product key should be on a sticker on your laptop. https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software… When you start your laptop once you have the Win 7 recovery disc, ensure that you have selected the correct boot option to boot from the install disc or USB and then select the repair option not the install option once it has started and initially loaded.
