Hi after plugged an hub usb (from china cheap), initially first time to my surface pro it woed ok. Just powered off the pc and caming back after 3 hours. During my absence it was non charging but with usb hub plugged (The hub was connected by its trasformer to electricity home at 220 volt). When i caming back home, I tried to power on notebook but it does not start aniway pressimg the start and/or volume button (as microsoft suggest. I think thae hub (powered) destroyed my notebook. Can sombody give to me confirmation ? thanks . Regards

It is possible that there was a short in the USB hub and it blew something in the Surface. Try holding down the power button for a full minute, then the power and volume button for a full minute. If that doesn’t get it to boot, then its almost certain that something fried internally. Surfaces are great, I use one myself. But they are nearly impossible to repair on your own. I work on electronics every day and I wouldn’t want to open mine up. Microsoft does offer repair on these and I’ve used their service before and was satisfied with it. If you elect to go that route, they send you a new one instead of yours. So be prepared to lose some data.

thanks my friend, you saved my life
