Hp-15gdr0008u Hi all, My notebook laptop key is stuck but somehow i am unable to understand which key is stuck and how. It keeps firing repeatedly during usage so i am not able to use laptop properly. Some symptoms are that Context menu is not remain opened on right click and closed automatically, search is automatically taking search item without pressing enter and in file explorer items are opening automatically and everything is happening annonymously. At first i thought it was trackpad but then i realized even when i start, on dualboot menu also it choose one OS automatically without having me to pressing anything, so i removed keyboard Nd now it seems to working properly. But i am not able to use it without keyboard so can anyone please help how to resolve this issue. This is keyboard image that i have disconnected as of now. ☹️

Hi, Has the keyboard gotten wet at all? Have you tried repeatedly tapping each key individually to see if the problem is removed? Finding the key by the wiring on the cable plug will not work as the keys are wired in a matrix arrangement via diodes in the keyboard to reduce the number of wires required in the cable. Think about the number of keys and then the number of wires in the cable and you can see that it is done this way. Replacing the keyboard is the simpler option as opening the keyboard to try and find the problem can introduce more problems than what you had. Usually the HP part number for the keyboard can be found on the underside of the keyboard. Search online using the part number only to find suppliers of the part. The alternative is to use a USB keyboard or a wireless keyboard with the laptop.
